Precautions for using infrared thermometer

Infrared thermometers are non-contact thermometers, including infrared ear thermometer and infrared forehead thermometer. It has the advantages of clear reading, easy portability, convenient operation and rapid measurement.

The following issues should be noted in use:

1. When measuring, move hair away to avoid blocking and wipe off sweat, and check whether the infrared forehead thermometer is in body temperature mode. Please refer to the product manual for how to set body temperature mode.

2. When measuring, aim the infrared forehead thermometer at the center of the forehead. The general distance is 1-3cm. For some products, it is 3-5cm. At the same time, please note that the infrared forehead thermometer cannot be moved away from the position where the temperature is measured before the measurement is completed.

3. When the person being measured comes from a place with a large temperature difference from the measurement environment, he should stay in the measurement environment for more than 5 minutes and wait until the temperature is consistent with the environment before measuring, otherwise the measurement results will be affected.

4. Normal people have certain differences in body temperature in different parts of the body. The body surface temperature is approximately 36.3-37.2°C. If the measurement result exceeds the normal body surface temperature range, it is recommended to measure more than 3 times, with an interval of 3-5 seconds between each measurement, whichever shows the most data is used.

Infrared thermometers calculate the body temperature by collecting infrared radiation from the human body. They passively receive infrared radiation energy. The product does not need to come into direct contact with the human body, does not cause cross-infection of different human bodies, and has no radiation to the human body.
