Difference between N95 masks and ordinary masks

Either N95 mask or ordinary mask, they are usually divided into medical mask and non-medical mask. Medical masks and non-medical masks, whether they are N95 or ordinary ones, have undergone a sterilization process, but the standard requirements for sterilization are different. The technical standards for medical masks are much higher than those for non-medical masks.

There are clear technical parameters for blocking small particles of impurities, bacteria, and other pathogens, filtering effects, and waterproof effects. However, non-medical masks have relatively low standards in terms of technical requirements, and the effect of filtering bacterial pathogens is far lower than that of medical masks.

Ordinary masks are mostly three-layer, and the wearing comfort is slightly higher than that of N95 masks, but the protection is relatively lower. N95 masks are generally five-layer, and the protection is much higher than that of ordinary masks. If wear N95 mask for a long time, strangle marks are easy to appear on the face. Ordinary masks can fully meet the protection requirements of daily life. Medical N95 masks are mostly used by medical staff, and the working environment requires them to wear masks with higher protection.
